Endoscopy for Pets in South Wales

When your pet is unwell, understanding what’s happening inside can help us work out the best way to care for them. At Live Well Vets, we offer endoscopy for cats and dogs, using a small camera to examine internal areas in detail, often without the need for exploratory surgery.

How Endoscopy Can Help Your Pet

Endoscopy can help investigate problems such as persistent vomiting, diarrhoea or difficulty swallowing. It also allows us to collect small tissue samples, known as biopsies, for laboratory testing.

These samples can help identify inflammation and other changes that may not be clear from the camera images alone.

The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic, with your pet carefully monitored by our veterinary team. We’ll explain what the investigation involves, discuss the costs and any preparation needed, and keep you informed about the findings and next steps.

Live Well Pet Club membership includes an annual veterinary health examination, an additional nurse health check at 6 months and 10% off in-house lab tests. These routine checks and discounted lab tests can support earlier investigation when something about your pet’s health changes.
