Why choose Live Well Vets for Veterinary CT Referrals?
Our aim is to offer a CT scanning service for vets in South Wales that is straightforward, efficient and supportive of your ongoing case management.
No Consultation Required
Our veterinary CT referrals are scan and report only. We do not take over the case. You remain the primary clinician and all follow up care for the pet stays with your practice.
Nurse led admission
Our experienced veterinary nurses admit the patient (your client’s pet), go through consent, answer owner questions and handle all day-patient nursing.
Vet health check before sedation
A veterinary surgeon examines every patient before sedation or anaesthesia, reviews the history you provide and tailors the protocol to the individual dog or cat.
Nurse discharge
Once fully recovered, the patient is discharged by a nurse with clear written and verbal aftercare advice for the pet’s owner.
CT report sent directly to the referring vet
The CT report and images are sent straight to you as the referring veterinary surgeon, so you can discuss the findings, treatment options and costs with your client.
Accessible location in South Wales
With practices in Caerphilly and Llantrisant, Live Well Vets is well placed for veterinary CT referrals from Cardiff, the Valleys, Bridgend and surrounding areas.
How Our Veterinary CT Referrals Work
Our goal is to make CT referrals straightforward for you, your client and their pet. Live Well Vets provides the CT scan and report only – you remain the primary clinician for the case.
1. Submit an online referral
Initiate a pet surgical referral by calling Live Well Vets on 02921 851 632 or completing this form
2. We contact your client
Our team arranges the CT appointment at Caerphilly or Llantrisant, explains fasting and admission instructions, and answers initial questions.
3. Nurse-led admission
A veterinary nurse admits the pet as a day patient, confirms consent and records weight and baseline observations.
4. Vet health check and CT scan
A veterinary surgeon performs a pre-sedation health check, tailors the sedation or anaesthetic plan, and the CT scan is carried out according to your request.
5. Discharge and report
Once fully recovered, the pet is discharged with simple aftercare advice. The CT images and report are sent directly to you as the referring vet so you can discuss the results and next steps with your client.
