Greg’s Arctic Charity Trek for World Veterinary Service
This February, our very own Greg from Live Well Vets will be swapping clinic life for the Arctic Circle, trekking 65 kilometres through snow and ice to raise money for the incredible charity World Veterinary Service (WVS).
It’s an adventure, yes — but more importantly, it’s one with a purpose: supporting a veterinary charity that’s changing lives, both animal and human, across the world.
What Is World Veterinary Service?
World Veterinary Service believes every animal deserves care — no matter where they live.
Around the world, millions of animals have no access to even the most basic veterinary treatment. WVS is changing that.
Every year they:
- Run hundreds of outreach clinics in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
- Treat tens of thousands of animals, including street dogs and cats in India, working donkeys in Africa, and wildlife affected by natural disasters.
- Train over 1,000 local vets annually, helping communities build lasting animal welfare and strengthen local veterinary care.
WVS doesn’t just respond to today’s emergencies — they focus on education, training, and sustainable support, ensuring their impact lasts for years to come.
Why Live Well Vets is Supporting WVS
At Live Well Vets, our values are built around the Four P’s — People, Passion, Pride, and Privilege.
When you look at WVS, it’s clear they live those values too:
- People – everyday heroes improving the lives of animals and communities worldwide.
- Passion – a shared belief that every animal deserves compassion and care.
- Pride – in creating long-term, meaningful change.
- Privilege – to make a positive impact wherever animals need help most.
Their work represents everything we believe in as a practice — compassion, care, and community — which is why we’re so proud to support them.

To help raise funds for WVS, Greg will be trekking 65 kilometres across the Arctic wilderness this February.
Over six days he’ll face freezing conditions, pull his supplies in a sled, camp in the snow, and brave temperatures as low as –20°C — all to support animal welfare projects around the world.
Every frozen kilometre helps fund more clinics, treat more animals, and train more local vets, ensuring the vital work of WVS continues where it’s needed most.
How You Can Support
You can make a real difference by donating to Greg’s Arctic Trek for World Veterinary Service.
Every donation — big or small — helps provide treatment, equipment, and training for animals and communities with little or no access to veterinary care.
Together, we can help WVS keep making a world of difference — one paw, hoof, and wagging tail at a time.
Thank you for your support, and for cheering Greg on as he prepares to freeze his bits off for a very good cause! ❄️🐾
