7 Questions You Should Ask Before Choosing a Vet in Llantrisant

If you’re a pet owner in Llantrisant, Talbot Green, Pontyclun, Beddau, Church Village or Llanharan, you’ve probably noticed how hard it’s become to find a vet that’s not only available, but also trustworthy, welcoming, and genuinely invested in your pet’s wellbeing.

At Live Well Vets Llantrisant, we believe that finding the right vet isn’t just about convenience. It’s about connection, care, and community.

Here are 7 questions we think you should ask before choosing a vet, and how we answer them..

1. Will I get to know who cares for my pet?

Seeing the same familiar faces builds trust and helps your pet relax, knowing who’s looking after them.

At Live Well Vets Llantrisant, we always try to book you in with the same vet or nurse whenever possible. We know how much it helps when someone remembers your pet’s name, health history, and quirks. It makes all the difference.

2. What makes us different?

We’re more than just a clinic. We’re part of the local community, offering a warm welcome, a calm environment, and friendly advice every step of the way. Our spacious, newly converted practice has been designed to make visits comfortable for both pets and people.

And don’t just take our word for it, our amazing reviews speak for themselves:

Live well vets was recommended to me so I decided to transfer from a large chain to here and so pleased I did. On first visit his itchy ears and coat were addressed and he’s completely itch free now! Reception were helpful and friendly and I didn’t feel I was a bother as you get in some places! Would also recommend to others.
This is the best vets I have visited ever! We had a very emotional visit and they couldn’t have been kinder or more compassionate! I can absolutely recommend this vets their service is exemplary and I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.❤️
We brought our pregnant miniature dachshund (Heidi) who was struggling in labour here and even though she wasn’t registered, they still took great care of her. She needed an emergency caesarean and they did a great job you can’t even notice her scar. Thanks to live well vets we have a healthy mum and 4 beautiful little puppies.😍
What a fantastic place! My first visit as our Vets closed down & I couldn’t be happier. My dog had an Allergy & this was treated immediately. Such care, definitely staying!

We are so very impressed with the excellent support that Greg and the team have provided for our dog Lucas since we joined the practice. Following a recent dental procedure at the Caerphilly branch Lucas is already a much happier little lad, everything pre and post procedure was explained in detail. The premises is so well equipped and all of the team are super friendly and knowledgeable , they clearly have the pets as the first priority – we cannot recommend Live Well enough, big thanks from Karen, Paul and above all Lucas, 🐾

Yes, and we know how important that is when your dog’s pulling on the lead or your cat’s meowing in their carrier.

Free parking is available right outside the practice. Just pop your registration in at reception when you arrive. No stress. No extra cost.

6. Is this the right practice for my nervous pet?

We’re experienced in working with anxious or reactive pets, and we’ll always give you time and space to help your pet feel safe.
